Gift minute coupons: the clinic pays, the physician dictates
The SonoForm team has added gift coupons for minutes: buy a pack, hand the code to a physician, and they activate it in their own workspace. Handy for clinics with visiting specialists.
The SonoForm developers have added gift coupons for minutes. Minutes can now be bought for someone else: pay for a pack, receive a code and hand it to a physician. The physician activates the code in their workspace and the minutes appear there.
Who needs it. Say you run a clinic and want to help your ultrasound physicians finish reports faster and see more patients. Previously each of them would have to top up separately. Now you simply buy minutes and give them to your staff: a visiting specialist, the physician on duty, a new colleague. It also works as a gift for a colleague who has not tried dictating yet.
How it works
The Balance page in the workspace has a new block, "Buy gift minutes for another user". Packs of 60, 120, 300 and 600 minutes at the regular per-minute price. Card payment, or an invoice for organisations. Up to 20 coupons per purchase.
After payment, "My coupons" holds the codes, printable PDF cards (with a QR code that takes the physician straight to activation) and a Share button that creates a temporary gift page with a 7-day link. On that page the physician sees how many minutes they were given, the code, a "Sign in and activate" button and a short guide to the service: sign in, activate, dictate, check and print.
The physician enters the code on the Balance page under "Activate gift minutes" or opens the link from the QR code. Minutes are credited like a regular top-up and never expire.
The rules in short
A coupon is valid for 12 months from payment and activates once. The buyer receives no minutes: they go to whoever activates the code. A coupon bought on one site of the service works only there. The receipt and invoice list the service: dictation processing, a pack of N minutes.
