Demo: from sign-in to a finished report
A three and a half minute video: how a physician signs in to the SonoForm workspace, dictates a study, uploads a recording, checks the measurements, shares the result and tops up the balance.
This is a recording of the real workspace with nothing staged: the dictation is synthesized speech in the language of the page, the processing of the measurements is real. Below are the sections of the video with explanations; click a time to jump to that place.
Dictation in the workspace
"New record" opens the ultrasound dictaphone. The physician picks the exam type, physician, workplace and ultrasound system from the lists, adds age, weight and height when needed, and dictates during the exam. You can record from any device with a browser: Windows, Mac, iPhone.
Recording in the app
The Android app repeats the same steps on the phone: the phone stays in the pocket of the gown, the recording goes for processing as you speak, and if the connection drops it is kept and sent later. The app is installed from the APK file on GitHub. There is no iPhone app: on an iPhone use the web dictaphone in Safari.
Uploading an existing file
A recording made on a voice recorder or another phone can simply be uploaded: m4a, mp3, wav, ogg and other formats.
The result and checking it
About a minute after sending, the measurements are in the fields of the report with units and reference ranges. The waveform of the recording is always in view; the play button next to a measurement starts the recording one second before the physician said the value. Any value can be edited in place, formulas are recalculated, Word and PDF documents are built as a table or as text, and there is printing from the browser.
Sharing
An external link gives a colleague or a patient only the result: measurements, reference ranges, conclusion, PDF and Word. The link can be revoked.
Balance and payment
20 minutes of dictation are free after sign-up, then 0.15 USD per minute of speech with no subscription; pauses are not charged. Top up by card; a clinic can pay by invoice.
There is no patient data in the video: the service has no fields for a name or a chart number, they are added before printing. A documentation assistant, not a medical device: every value is checked by the physician.
